Ok, I have taken the first two baby steps: 1) downloaded the Watcom C/C++/Fortran compiler; 2)
started looking at the SRC. Notice I said started. I looked at a lot of .h and .c files and came
up for air bewildered. I lost hope when most of the files said "when you figure out what this
routine does fill in the explanation here". If a bunch of smart people that have gone on before me
don't know what is happening, what chance do I have? I've got my hand raised full overhead seeking
help before I go down for the third time. Somebody kindly point me to the life guard station so
I'll know where and how to start understanding this stuff.

PS Lynn, check out jEdit. It has a PL1 entry in the abbreviations section. Its colorizer may
understand PL1. If true, that may help us patch up the Watcom editor at some point.
