Subject: SCOUG-Programming: APLNext's VisualAPL

Content Type: text/plain

I bought the Professional version of M$ Visual Studio 2005 for $109 from an online retailer. I bought the student version that doesn't include online help. But, who needs online help.

I did have to provide a student ID. I faxed them my Georgia State University ID from 1983 that I only attended there for 1 semester. They accepted it and sent me my order no questions asked.

I first downloaded the trial version then updated to the professional version. There are problems when you do that and it even says on M$ website not to do that. Who reads M$ website?? I called and complained about it and they gave me a year of online help.

M$ really wants to sell you Visual Studio as opposed to GCC. I threw that name out and is one of the reasons why I got 1 year of online help for free.
