SCOUG OS/2 For You - December 1999
Commending Paul Wirtz
Our Vice President Has Left,
But He Won't Be Forgotten
The value of any organization is the sum of its members. SCOUG benefits from some truly superior people, both in terms of skill and dedication. Paul Wirtz brought certified skills to our group and enormous drive and enthusiasm. He turned these attributes into major contributions to our club's many successes for most of our existence.
Recently Paul served in the roles of Vice President, General Interest Group Leader and Librarian. He has been a presenter at several meetings and participated in all our big events - Warpstock 97, Open Houses in '97 and '98, and Warp Expo West. His career finally took precedence, giving him a short-notice opportunity in Virginia. He resigned his SCOUG positions and moved east right after our November meeting. Even if three or four of us volunteer to fill his duties, he will still be missed.
Paul, we all wish you the best in your future activities. May all your novels be thrillers with happy endings!
