Springtime is Near. SCOUG Elections are Coming.
There Is A Need!
SCOUG elections are coming in March and as can be expected there are openings that need to be filled.
The driving force in the need for new personnel on the Board of Directors of the club is that people change. People's lives change and their commitment to SCOUG must by necessity
change right along. As a result, there is a constant need for new people to step forward and take up the mantle of distinction and responsibility. While no one person can do it all, no one person is expected to try.
One of the markers of a strong club is that new people are willing to step up and drive the club to its next frontiers. The continual influx of new personnel means that there is a steady source of new and fresh ideas. While at the same time, the retention of experienced people means that there is a continuity of ideas and goals. The entire structure of the club is strengthened by both groups of people.
Are You Interested?
So SCOUG has a need for some new people. The electable positions are President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Director at Large. Any discussion of election opportunities should be based on the needs required. Most of the board will be running again. Still the club
has a very pressing need for a replacement Secretary and two Directors at Large. While not a board position, the position of Newsletter Editor will also be open.
Think you can help your club out? Do you want to help steer the club through the next year? Or just want to be a real mover and shaker in the OS/2 community? Getting involved is rewarding. Getting involved is easy. Just e-mail one of the members of the Election Committee:
