SmartSVN version 6.0.1 has been released as of 05/20/2009. This is a Java Subversion GUI client, with features such as built-in File Compare / Merge, Change Report or Tag and Branch Handling, and more. It requires Java 1.4.1 or higher. Go to http://www.syntevo.com/smartsvn/.

File version 5.0.3 has been released as of 05/08/2009. This utility can identify the data type of several thousands of types of files, without relying on extensions. Use search key file.v on Hobbes.

Scribus version 1.3.3.13 has been updated as of 05/01/2009. This page layout program supports professional publishing features, such as CMYK color, separations, ICC color management and versatile PDF creation. Go to Scribus 1.3.3.13

JAlbum version 8.3.1 has been released as of 05/26/2009. This is a web photo album generator that requires Java 1.5. Go to http://jalbum.net/.

MagicDraw UML version 16.5 SP1 has been released as of 05/18/2009. This is a Java-based UML modelling tool. Go to http://www.magicdraw.com/.

PHPMyAdmin version 3.1.5 has been released as of 05/15/2009. This is a set of PHP scripts to administer MySQL over the Web. Go to http://phpmyadmin.sourceforge.net/.

JGraphpad version 6.0.7.3 has been released as of 05/26/2009. This is a Java-based powerful, free diagram editor that allows you to create flow charts, maps, UML diagrams, and more. Go to http://www.jgraph.com/jgraphpad.html.

Agena version 0.21.1 has been released as of 05/24/2009. This is an interpreted language suited for sophisticated procedural programming, with syntax like simplified ALGOL 68, with elements taken from Lua and SQL. Go to http://www.os2site.com/sw/dev/agena/, or use search key agena on Hobbes.

jRipper version 1.0.1 has been released as of 05/21/2009. This is a CD ripper and audio converter that supports WAV, Flac, MP3, OGG, and AAC formats. It requires Java 1.4. Go to http://www.rbri.org/jripper/jripper.html.

FM/2 version 3.16 has been released as of 05/10/2009. This is an open- source GUI file manager program, with lots of extra helper utilities. Go to http://svn.netlabs.org/fm2, or use search key fm2- on Hobbes.

FluidSynth version 1.0.9 has been released as of 05/10/2009. This is a software real-time synthesizer based on the Soundfont 2 specifications. Use search key fluidsynth on Hobbes.

REXX Function Package for REXX-based CGI scripts is now at version 1.51 as of 05/09/2009. This provides additional REXX functions for CGI scripts. It handles form processing (GET and POST methods) with data validation, supports file uploads, sending e-mail and attachments via SMTP, checking and retrieving POP3 mail, getting documents via HTTP, building PDF documents and a range of useful date, file and string functions, and more. A tool for using the CanoScan 4400F scanner has been released. It allows you to scan paper, photos, slides, and film in color, greyscale, and bitonal. Go to http://home.hccnet.nl/w.m.brul/canoscan/, or use search key 4400F on Hobbes.

QEmu version 0.10.3 has been released as of 05/07/2009. This is a virtual machine / emulator. Go to http://www2.atpages.jp/lpproj/os2/qemu/.

ID3V2 version 0.1.11 has been released as of 05/07/2009. This is a command-line id3v2 tag editor for MP3 files, which can add, modify, remove, and view id3v2 tags, and convert from id3v1 tags. Use search key id3v2 on Hobbes.

NDPDAV version 1.1 beta 2 has been released as of 05/12/2009. This is a WebDAV client for NetDrive, which allows you to connect to Apache mod_dav WebDAV resources as regular directories on a NetDrive virtual volume. WebDAV is a set of extensions to the HTTP protocol which allows users to collaboratively edit and manage files on remote web servers. Go to http://svn.netlabs.org/ndpdav.

SDLMAME version 0.131 has been released as of 05/04/2009. This is an SDL version of the Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. Use search key sdlmame on Hobbes.

OS/2 API Trace version 2.45.38 has been released as of 05/04/2009. This tool allows you to trace the 16-bit and 32-bit OS/2 APIs used by any application with requiring the application's source code. Go to http://www.angelfire.com/tx4/blaschke/OS2Trace/.

Lzip version 1.6.pre2 has been released as of 05/23/2009. This is a lossless file compressor that is almost as fast as Gzip, and compresses better than Bzip2. Use search key lzip on Hobbes.

QueenCy version 0.2.10 has been released. This is a painting program for OS/2, which supports the Wacom tablets. There are also drivers for the Wacom tablets on that page, including support for USB. Go to http://www.1drop.net/.

X264 version 0.67.x has been released as of 05/17/2009. This is a H.264 (MPEG4 AVC) encoder library. Use search key x264 on Hobbes.

JExpress version 7.2.5 has been released. This allows you to create Java-based multi-lingual installers and auto-updaters. An easy-to-use Swing interface allows you to design your installers quickly without requiring any programming. It can also select the exact classes your Java app uses, build your directory tree, and produce JAR files. Go to http://www.denova.com/.

GNU Ocrad version 0.18 has been released as of 05/12/2009. This is an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) program that reads a bitmap image in PBM, PGM, and PPM formats and produces text in 8-bit or UTF-8 formats. Go to http://www.fbakan.de/ocrad-os2.htm.

The Samba plugin for the NetDrive filesystem has been updated to version 1.5 beta as of 05/11/2009. It is based on Samba 3.0.34. It allows you to mount SMB or CIFS shares on OS/2 without the need of NetBIOS (IBM LAN Manager or IBM Peer). Also available are a Samba port driver (as of 05/08/2009) for printing to shared printers, and Samba server version 3.0.33 as of 01/29/2009 (but according to Steve Wendt, it is labeled as version 1.0.0.3). Simple Samba Configuration Center is now at version 0.8.6 as of 05/18/2009. This allows you to edit an available SMB.CONF, already available keys, and add and remove shares and printers. DVD/CD Toys version 0.05.00 has been released as of 05/28/2009. This is a set of utilities to burn CD and DVD disks, and ISO images. Go to http://en.ecomstation.ru/projects/dvdtoys/.

AiR-BOOT version 1.06 has been released as of 05/24/2009. This is a multi-boot partition loader with some extra features, including colored "Award-like" Setup, virus protection, linux kernel support, and more. Go to http://air-boot.sourceforge.net/.

Btrieve Commander has been updated as of 05/24/2009. This is a Btrieve file viewer / editor. Go to http://silk.apana.org.au/btc/.

Iron Spring PL/1 beta version 0.8a has been released as of 05/21/2009. This is a compiler for the PL/1 programming language, although it is currently missing some features. Go to http://www.iron-spring.com/.
