NetZero "Ads" Nicely to Internet Choices
May 1999
NetZero showed SCOUG members its high quality Internet access application
and network. NetZero (www.netzero.net) allows free access nationally to
the Internet for those that don't mind viewing targetted advertising while
they surf.
With many high-end smart features, the free NetZero software is
automatically updated when you log in to any of their sites nationally.
Soon to be completed for OS/2, the application was developed in Java by
our own Terry Warren. Terry showed the many benefits of NetZero both to
the user, and to potential advertisers.
To users, there is free high-quality access and a free account from
virtually anywhere in the country. Advertisers have an opportunity to not
only ensure that their ad will be seen, but also allows them to target ads
to specific demographic groups through NetZero's highly-tuned targetting
algorithm.
Thanks, Terry, for such an informative tour through the NetZero world.
