Okay, but that's what I said: "2. Do you mean the initial installation
of OS/2? Can't the necessary files just be copied from another
machine?"

That's what Patrick was looking for -- a way to make it work. Can you
tell me what files need to be copied?

But you could just copy the RSU updated files from the other machine
(the same one you copied from to begin with). Plus, in this case, I
don't think Patrick is too concerned with updates -- he just wants a
functioning terminal. (What he said in his original post was, "The
computer will only be used as a text based terminal whose main function
is connecting to a UNIX box via telnet.")

Mike, you seem pretty knowledgeable in this subject. Does Patrick just
need to modify his CONFIG.SYS and copy the necessary files from another
machine that's got the TCP/IP stack set up the way he wants it? This
would allow him to boot from a copy of his installation diskettes and
press Alt-F1 at the bootup white box, then choose a Command Line boot,
and he should be all set.

Or do you know of something else that needs to be taken care of as well?
