Hi, Peter -

The issue is that you're not coming in from their home page. When I
first got the redirection, I had the same problem. If you'll whack the
cgi-bin/whois part, it'll work fine (and it's a LOT more user friendly
than the old Internic site I think). You can put in a new name to test
for availability on the front page.
