One thing you may run into is that certain DOS programs won't run in
640KB. You'll wind up needing to set the amount of memory to 512KB.
Sounds totally illogical but I ran into four of five of these when I was
at UCLA IoA. Usually they're DOS graphical programs, sometimes written
in Fortran or in C but using really old DOS graphic calls. The two that
were most peculiar were a GPS logger (FWIW) and a mapping product called
Surfer.
When I get finished with my email tonight, I'll go print the settings
for DOS and email them to you. I think this PC is still setup for the
DOS stuff I used to run at UCLA.
