That may well be so. It may be that the case will have mostly PR value.
OTOH, the case was not only against the corporate entity (probably long
gone), but against the owners personally.

As far as the law they were sued under, you're mostly right. The new one
that goes into effect in January is a bit different, though. I'm watching
any enforcement with interest. They go after the companies that hire the
spammers.

I don't expect that it will until sometime after 1Q2004, if indeed it
does. I'm sure everyone is watching to see what effect this could have,
if at all.
