This is normal operation. Alt-F1 invokes the Maintenance Desktop. This
is not the same as a Maintenance Partition. You would boot to the
Maintenance Partition via the Boot Manager. Of course, this assumed you
have installed a Maintenance Partition and added it to the Boot Manager
menu.
