I bought an IDE tape drive.
I already have an IDE CD burner on the same IDE channel that works well
using Dani's drivers.
The tape drive, and CD burner, work great under Windows.
But under OS/2, using Back Again 2000 software, the backup crashes with a
Trap 0008 error.
Tech. support from BA are so far clueless. They had me change some CMOS
settings, but that made no difference.
I contacted Daniela who said that I cannot share IDE tapes with other
units on the same IDE channel because of the BA driver, CDSIEDE.FLT.
It looks like I will have to send the tape drive back and get a SCSI
model. But before I do that, I wondered if anyone has had any luck with
this combination, and can tell me what settings will make it work.
Thanks,
Sandy
