I have just replaced the motherboard on my main computer, and I'm having
severe problems. More often than not, my keyboard and mouse are dead
after it finishes booting and I have to power cycle it. C-A-D and reset
do not work. The keyboard always works at the BootManager screen, and it
works just fine if I boot to Win2K.
Secondly, the system does not see my IBM SCSI drive on the B-channel of
the LsiLogic SCSI adapter under OS/2. It shows up under Win2K. It worked
just fine on the old mobo.
The original mobo was an Abit KT7 (non-raid) which seems to have died
and took the video card (ATI Rage 128) with it. Replacement video cards
all came up with the same long-short-short beep sequence.
The new mobo is an ASUS A7V133 with an Athlon 900 MHz Thunderbird socket
A processor and 256 MB RAM. The video card is a Matrox G450. The disk
configuration is:
IDE_0: Maxtor 10 GB
SCSI: LSI21002 (SYM21002) 32-bit PCI-Ultra2 SCSI Dual-Channel
Channel A:
ID 2 Conner CTMS 3200 tape
ID 4 Plextor CR-R
ID 5 Quantum Empire 1080S ~ 1GB
ID 6 Plextor CD Rom
Channel B:
ID 6 IBM DCHS09W 9.1 GB
Any suggestions on either problem? Thanks!
