Thanks (and to Peter, too) for the helpful information.
First of all -- there is no hurry. I am planning for a MB upgrade, but it
won't be for a while. Second, a cursory search shows that the Tekram
DC-315U is widely available for $31 to $32 with shipping. Third, it looks
like I will have to get a new cable to the scanner as the ISA card has a
Centronics (looks like a printer) outlet. I assume this should not be a
problem. Last, I may be able to come up for the SCOUG meeting next
Saturday. I would like to meet some of you. So if you have a card you
would like to sell, of if you come across one and can pick it up, let me
know.
