I halfway recall Walter Metcalf doing a piece (possibly
multi-part) on that
for the column he had at ABOUT.COM, before those sorry essobees
pulled
the plug on him. You might check out the relocated archives for
his stuff, at:
http://www.warpdoctor.org/walter/index.html
or
http://members.rogers.com/wfmetcalf/OS2_Treasury/Articles/
If not, you will likely find such a reference in the back
articles at VOICE or
OS/2 e-zine. It's possible Mr. KIA did one also (?).
It can't be that imposing a roster of files. I have a barebones
BOOTOS2
partition, whose contents are miniscule, but it certainly boots.
Could send
you a snapshot of what's on there. In my case, it was
automatically detected
by System Commander (which I will reluctantly have to give up
when ECS
goes on soon), so I did not even have to set it as bootable.

I would assume so. (You meant BOOT Mgr., didn't you . . . ?)
