Hi Steven
Thanks for your answer and your new questions:

>>I have tried to run PMView's makedefv.exe and got an error
>>message that there is something wrong with my INI files I
>>shall reinstall PMView again !
>
>What was the exact error message?

I cannot remember anymore the exact error message !
I have described accordingly just above of your question and I
followed its suggestion and reinstalled version 2.32 again ;-)

>>Checking with AssoEdit I noticed that these bitmap are still
associated
>>to the unwanted Image Viewer primarily ;-(((
>
>What happens if you use the Make Default button to set PMView to
the
>default association?

It was done 2 times !
Once with the installation process and went without problems.
After rebooting the system I tried MakeDefv.exe a second time
out of curiousity to see its working properly now or giving
an error message again !?
It went smooth and did not show the error again ;-)

>>What do I need to do to stop this unwanted system image viewer
? Any
>>hints and suggestions are very appreciated !!
>
>Well, I might have a better idea after you report the exact
error message.
>
>Have you asked Peter for help on the PMView support mailing list?

No it just appeared to me this morning and so I tried to ask
you about possible information ...
... another thing: PMview was never working really properly as
set to default even with the old "primgfix tool" it did not work
as assumed ;-((

Well, I will stop here for now ...
... it is not urgent but I would like it working better !

Thanks and regards, svobi
