Is this true even if you reserve the third drive just for data files?

One thing to keep in mind is the 3rd drive must have only logical
partitions or it may disturb the existing BIOS drive ordering. My current
recommendation is that all drives other than the first should have no
primary partitions that might get drive letters assigned to them.
