Hi Steven
thanks again for your answers and suggestions.
I have done the "wholesale surgery" yesterday and got it
properly working again ;-)
After this I did an WarpUP finale with FP15 and brought everthing
up to newest level again ;-))
Late last night I was able to logon properly and also
"Connections, Sharings"
plus printing via Router and Print Server were working as I
wanted ;-)))
I would like to understand how and what has gone here ...
... but as for this system: It is not worth to loose much time
because
there are too much unknowns and questions I am unable to answer !
Finally I did a completely removal of IBMCOM, IBMLAN, MPTN and
TCPIP
and then deleted everthing relating to this in the CONFIG.SYS adn
also
spring cleaned with UniMaint, CheckINI !
A first installation, trying with TCPIP 4.3, was impossible and
the system went blocked
totally and I had to power off ;-((
Once again I started the removal as described above !!
With INSTALL for the root of the WARP CD it was done quite well.
After this installation I copied the files HOSTS, RESOLV2 and
NET.ACC from my
desktop system over and now everthing works like I wanted it to
do ;-)))
I would like to look forward and discuss possible future
activities.
May I send you these files you have listed below to discuss how
to get it even better !?
If you accept I will provide you my files off the list later.
Thanks in advance for your appreciated assistance.
Last but not least:
I wish you and to all on this list a Merry Christmas and a happy,
peaceful New Year !
Kind regards from Switzerland
svobi

I would not recommend that. NET3062 is usually caused by a NIC
problem.
Let's see copies of:
lantran.log
ibmlan.ini
protocol.ini
config.sys
setup.cmd
startup.cmd
dhcpd.cfg
>Can I just delete these directories and their entries in the
CONFIG.SYS

I would recommend understanding what's failing before doing
wholesale
surgery, but that's just me. :-)
Steven
