Hi Steven,  
 
I am never absolutely sure about anything.  
I am not sure which driver you are referring to.  
 
I have sockets.sys dated 3/27/00  
and I have a bunch of drivers in the Thinkpad directory beginning with  
"vpc" and "pcm" all dated 5/16/99.  
 
At this point I am willing to try anything.  
Are there some other drivers you know about that I could try?
