Hi Steven
Thanks for your efforts and help ;-)
May I ask first for another help than this ??

I have gotten an 2GB PCMCIA HDD and would like to make it working
with this fragile system environment to have an extra partition
for safety
and saves of whatever I / we need ;-)

Which entries are needed to be added to the config.sys to make
this
PCMCIA HDD working ? I assume someone with ATA but do not know
the exact description ?!

PCMCIA sockets are running and working ...
... V.34-Modem, WaveRunner and also the 3C589 are running, while
the 2GB HDD is identified but not usable yet ;-)

Since I haven't used this system for quite a long time I cannot
identify
its proper condition, handling and system level I need this
security
before destroying anything valuable ;-)

Thanks for your advise and assistance !

Regards, svobi

Well, now that Sandy's 3COM's is working, it's time to try
another. :-)

For posterity, the problem was either he never installed the
Thinkpad
configuration utility for the 600E or it was not installed
correctly.
Once this was done, OS/2 was able to retrieve the BIOS settings
and assign
resources correctly.

To fix the problem, we'll need a few things:

- a better description than "not working"
- a short review of the notebook configuration
- copies of
protocol.ini
setup.cmd
dhcpd.cfg
lantran.log
config.sys
startup.cmd

Steven
