I do not find any print function in E.EXE.  
EPM.EXE tries to print ASCI, printer grunts and hangs.  
Try to print "formatted", beeps and closes the print box.  
For test purposes I am using a Deskjet 612C, selected 610 from  
install.  
 
Changed MB, no effect.  But the external modem now works because it  
has a real COMM2 port.  
DOS properties does not list any COM settings, still.
