Yes, that says you have a video driver problem. Try Alt-F1 and revert to
VGA GRADD which is the default for MCP/eCS.

It's best not do select any video option. Don't click on the icon. Just
use the default.

Well, it hung for the same reason. After 10 sec, it defaults to booting
from the hard drive.

That's not it. Save your time. You have to find a working video
combination.
You could try the old trick of deleting WarpCenter from the autostart
line. It's possible, but unlikely, that it's a timing problem.
