Is there a way to make a partition smaller in eComStation without losing
data?

I can do this in Warp 4 by using Partition Magic (version 5) to resize the
partition. (Note: PM version 7 no longer works with HPFS partitions.)

But if I do that in eComStation, the computer will no longer boot. I have
to use LVM to delete the volume containing that partition and then create
a new volume for the smaller partition. When I delete the volume, I lose
my data.

This is not a problem if want to make a partition larger, because I can
use Drive Image to save the data and then restore it to the larger
partition. But Drive Image will not restore a partition to a smaller
partition because it is just an image and not the actual data.

I would hate to switch from Warp 4 to eComStation if I could no longer
resize a partition without losing the data.

Thanks,
Sandy
