It's doing the best it can. It only a program. It's not perfect. :-)

Try my suggested procedure and see what happens.

That's the WPS hanging on startup. Do you use the WarpCenter? If so and
if you start it in config.sys, try moving the startup to the Startup
Folder. To do this, delete WARPCENTER from the SET AUTOSTART statment and
copy a WarpCenter object to the Startup Folder.

It was both Peter and Harry. Since you didn't mention Unimaint, I pretty
much suspected you didn't own it. Yes, it's commercial. It's an
excellent tool and, yes, it does cost a few dollars. We can probably get
your system stabilized without it. Most likely, it will just take longer
so you have to decide how valuable your time is.
