Does anyone recognize a file in the root of their ECS boot partition,
called io32.sys ?
It has r+s+h attributes turned on. I never saw this before, and
indeed it does not appear
in a full-partition backup that I made a few days ago. Mine is dated
7/19/02, and I'm
guessing it will update periodically with later dates, per when ECS
gets booted. I tried
looking inside the file, but it is all what I take for machine code --
no text, no mention
of IBM or anything else that might be identifiable. I rather doubt it
comes from any of
the app.s I am gradually starting to install into ECS, since they are
all app.s that I already
have installed for the Warp 4 partition, and there is no such file
over there. I just want to
make sure it is not some Windoze-esque malefactor that snuck in while
I was downloading
something.
