That's odd. The Alt key acts like a shift key, so regardless of what you
do with the F1 key, the Alt key needs to be down when you press the F1.
Makes me wonder if you have some sort of keyboard problem. I've seen them
fail in odd ways. Can you try with a different keyboard?
