Peter,
I would love to come to live help session on the 14th, but I work on
Saturdays. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and am a hop, skip, and jump from
Orange County. In fact, when I first discovered the Scoug site, my first
reaction was to attend your June meeting. Presently, I can't attend those
functions because of work conflicts. Rats!
I had downloaded the updated installation floppies and tried to use them
with the first trial installation, but I don't think they got extracted. At
any rate, during the installation nothing happened when I pushed "enter"
after inserting the disk #1 into the floppy slot. I thought I followed the
directions at the ibm update page.
From your directions, I will have to do more thinking to figure all this
out. I am sure the end result will be worth the effort.
Thanks for your advice.
Butch Langel
