Hi Sandy
Sorry ! I have to correct my OS2.KEY sample !
Normally the DOCKnn.DLL are numbered up to 15 !!
So you do not need to enter my DOCK16.DLL's and up !!!
The reason why I put these additonal entries were some
specific system tests for some very special circumstances ;-)
Don't worry !
Cheers, svobi

Subject: SCOUG-Help: Warp Center & Archiving
Hi Sandy
your answer shows the default os2.key file !
With this file your archiving process does backup and restore
only these 6
but important files. You would be able to work again after
restoring these files
and that's quite important ;-)
Here I provide my file's entries:
KEYFILE:OS2.INI
KEYFILE:OS2SYS.INI
KEYFILE:C:\CONFIG.SYS
KEYFILE:C:\STARTUP.CMD
KEYFILE:C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT
KEYFILE:C:\OS2INIT.CMD
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK0.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK1.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK10.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK11.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK12.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK13.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK14.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK15.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK16.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK17.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK18.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK19.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK2.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK3.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK4.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK5.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK6.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK7.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK8.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\DOCK9.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\DLL\SCENTER.CFG
KEYFILE:C:\IBMCOM\PROTOCOL.INI
KEYFILE:C:\IBMLAN\IBMLAN.INI
KEYFILE:C:\MPTN\ETC\RESOLV
KEYFILE:C:\MPTN\ETC\TCPOS2.INI
KEYFILE:C:\MPTN\ETC\HOSTS
KEYFILE:C:\TCPIP\BIN\TCPSTART.CMD
KEYFILE:\C:\MMOS2\MMPMCD.INI
KEYFILE:\C:\MMOS2\SPI.INI
KEYFILE:\C:\MMOS2\MIDITYPE.INI
KEYFILE:\C:\MMOS2\MMPM2.INI
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\SYSTEM.INI
KEYFILE:C:\OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\WIN.INI
You see many more entries now !
The DOCKxx.DLL entries and the SCENTER.CFG are for the contents
of the
WarpCenter Trays and the WarpCenter Configuration.
My hint:
Quite frequently I am doing a manual copy of the SCENTER.CFG i.e.
SCENTER.C5A, where 5 means May and A means the first save in May.
The rest of the entries are up to you and its importance to your
system !
To modify your OS2.KEY you need to change its attribute because
it's
write protected and do protect afterwards again ;-)
After these modifications I suggest a reboot of the system and a
"ARCINST"
from command line.
As next step I suggest to activate "archive on" in the WPS and
reboot again.
With 3 reboots you are sure that your system has 3 full
environment archives now !
Now switch off archiving the WPS again and reboot once more.
With CHECKINI /C you are goinc to clean the old associations !
Done !!
For the future you have to do a frequent archive of your WPS to
be sure that all
your modifications (acoording to your entries in OS2.KEY) are
kept accurately ;-))
Cheers, svobi

Please do excuse me for my Swiss-German-English ...
... I hope you can understand even it's not perfect ;-|

Hi Svobi,
It has six lines:
KEYFILE:OS2.INI
KEYFILE:OS2SYS.INI
KEYFILE:E:\CONFIG.SYS
KEYFILE:E:\STARTUP.CMD
KEYFILE:E:\AUTOEXEC.BAT
KEYFILE:E:\OS2INIT.CMD
What do you recommend?
Thanks,
Sandy
