Yes. Ben says he needs at least 2.96; pgcc is currently at 2.95.3. If
the pgcc guys will make one more update . . . (Ben gets to ask them.)

Well there you go. The makefile conversion is part of the value-add
here.
Hasn't somebody created a makefile converter yet?
