Yes and and you can extend them with Java or the, soon, whatever 
scripting 
plugin you wish to use.

That's fine as long as you don't work like me.  My normal mode to 
to use 
"Next Unread."  This only works in time received order.  I prefer 
to read 
by subject.  Eventually, Next Unread will support the current 
sort order.
