Butch,
Thanks for the information you provided. Very informative and helpful.
You did everything that I would have done, except delete the RSJ
installation from your hard drive. You did not have to do that. Your
installation seems to be hanging up on the Danelia IDE driver. There is
a conflict between it and the instructions/installation from RSJ.
For the RSJ installation it changes your system as follows:
1. Installs the software on your drive (C:\CDWFS)
2. Modifies lines in your config.sys file
I does not do anything else. It does not change the OS2.INI file or
anything else. Therefore, you could have safely gone by to your 11/06/02
config.sys file and your system would have rebooted. No need to delete
the RSJ installation. You are only going to have to reinstall it.
I need to find out what your config.sys file says before and after the
RSJ installation. Here's what I would like you to do:
1. Save a copy of your now currently working config.sys file
2. Reinstall RSJ following the directions from RSJ
A. Edit the config.sys file line as they told you
B. Replace the cddrv.inf file with the one they gave you
3. Save a copy of that resulting config.sys somewhere (now you have 2
different config.sys files saved)
4. Copy your original config.sys file back to your system, the C:\,
your boot drive. This is the same file you copied in step 1, above.
5. Now, although you have "installed RSJ" (sort of), you are now using
your original config.sys. Therefore, RSJ will not be active, even if you
reboot. It will just sit there with the files and drivers inactive
6. Mail me the 2 config.sys files
OK, your situation now will be that you have the software installed, but
not activated through a reboot on the modified config.sys. You went back
to the original, 11/06/02 config.sys, before the RSJ install. Therefore,
you can safely reboot your system with no hangs. RSJ will not be
operative
I want to scan the 2 config.sys files that you send me.
I've got to go to work. Be back in a while. OK?
HCM
