Subject:	SCOUG-Help: I don't recall this memory problem

Hi folks,
So here's the core problem: One machine I have refuses to run
Lotus Freelance
graphics - it gives an "Out of Memory" dialog with an "OK" click
button (as if
it were 'okay') when it is run. This is a K6-2/266 machine with
96 MB of
physical memory, Warp4, FP15, 14.085 kernel machine that has no
trouble
(apparently) running WordPro or the other stable mates from the
SmartSuite
version 1.1.1 (i.e. the slightly updated packages from the base
1.1 package).

Since as we all know "Google is (y)our friend", I went to look up
any similar
problems that might have been reported. I saw some references to
corrupted
disks or INI files. I booted to floppy for a CHKDSK C: /F and I
used both
Unimaint and Cleanini to clean up the system some. There were no
real problems
to speak of and there was no change in behavior. I also copied
all the files in
the LOTUSW4\FLG folder from a known good installation just in
case there was any
file corruption. Still no go.

On the outside chance that there is some problem with memory, I
loaded Theseus
and got results from the General System Information command and
RAM Usage by
Process (at end of this e-mail). You can see in the General
System information
report that there is 96 MB physical memory being properly
recognized. The
curious thing is the RAM Usage by Process report. It seems to
suggest that
there is a total of 48 MB of memory available for use with only
548 KB free. Am
I reading this right? Is this the source of my problem or am I
barking up the
wrong tree here? How can I fix my out of memory problem? Thanks
in advance.

-Rocky
