I just bought an Epson Stylus Photo 825 USB printer.
I was able to get the base USB driver installed, then successfully
installed the OS/2 USB printer driver. it installed exactly as the
instructions said it would. I then shut down, and turned the printer on.
when I rebooted, a properties notebook was open with the name of the
Epson! On the output page was a USB icon, which I selected. The printer
is shown as online and attached.
However, the printer doesn't seem to receive the printed stream, though it
theoretically should. I got a clue when my faxworks driver opened up when
I tried to print. I went to the Epson's properties notebook, printer
driver page, and saw that the fax driver was selected. Unselecting didn't
do any good. It was just selected when I reopened the notebook.
selecting a postscript of PCL driver didn't work either.
According to http://www.os2world.com/usb/ it should just work. No mention
is made there of the drivers page, though. Any clues from anyone?
