Subject: SCOUG-Help: HDD moved to new machine

If you are responding to someone asking for help who
may not be a member of this list, be sure to use the
REPLY TO ALL feature of your email program.

Basically, you moved your system to a new machine and, for OS/2, you
were forced to go to VGA mode in order to bootup. That's not surprising.
It's happened to me. So far from what you have said everything else
appears to be OK (except perhaps the UTILITY folder).

Restore your system to SVGA mode first, using whatever driver and
whatever resolution is appropriate. See how everything plays out from
there first, before you do anything else. My rationale is as follows:

1. You will be able to see things and manipulate things better in SVGA
and at the correct resolution

2. Your UTILITY folder issue may be video related. For example, when
you use the Multimedia Application Installer, you have to either switch
to VGA, or move the Installer window half off your screen before you
push the button to install an application. If you do not, the Installer
locks up
