Given this, I would start with:
DEVICE=E:\OS2\BOOT\COM.SYS (3,ec00,11)
>ZOC V 4.07 set for Comm2. Loads without error.
Since you have a COM1 on the MB, I would let it load pointing at COM1 and
then try to change the settings.
Also, since it works on the dark side, why not check the device manager
and see what resources it allocated to the device?
