Attention ! Be careful !

An OS/2 installation with the newest installation diskettes
should be
done with an IBM1S506.ADD and not with DaniS506.ADD !

It's a while since I tried and cannot describe anymore the exact
happenings but faced problems doing so !

In the meantime there are newer IDEdasd files available ...
... perhaps it is not a bad idea to exchange these to have less
problems exspecially with HDD's bigger than 64GB but currently
I do not have any practical experiences ;-(

Good luck,
svobi

Maybe. It's the best starting point.

>Do _they_ need updating?

Maybe. You might need to update to the latest IBM1S506 or use
Dani's
driver. It depends. Also, you might need to update snoop.lst and
config.sys to get by hardware issues.

Good luck,
