I had the identical application.
This can be a bit tricky, so read:
http://www.htmlhelp.com/reference/wilbur/misc/comment.html
and do _NOT_ use -- or > inside the comment itself,
as it confuses most browsers. Reserve these characters
for starting and ending the comment/declaration.
