I would describe it otherwise. WIN, like the Mac, is designed for people who don't know and *don't want to know.* (I actually have
some respect for Macintosh, though, so I won't take that comparison any further.) It tries to hold your hand and do everything for
you (the old "We Know What's Good for You"), but the net result is that all to often it leaves no one minding the store. Choice and
control aren't on the menu.
