Are you just counting the sub-dir.s, or if not, what are you using to observe the invisible contents ?

Exactly, although I specified "EPSONPRT.EPSON" as the target, the only driver identified with the Stylus Color 800 printer. I could
understand if this somehow took out all of the _Epson_ drivers by mistake, but it nuked several Lexmark ones as well -- everything on
LPT2 got toasted.
[Off-topic aside: Did you know that Goodwill and many other such donation org.s now have a *long* list of stuff they will not accept,
and that prominent on that list is all manner of computer gear ? Apparently, something to do with tougher impending landfill
regulations, come disposal time -- or so they said. I got turned down various places, trying to get rid of that printer. Finally
found a Salvation Army station that looked to be manned by escapees from Folsom, and apparently they had not gotten the word, or did
not care.]

O.K.

Convinced or no, I wouldn't give it another chance to trash the joint.

I hadn't heard about this before, which suggests that the "whole system transplant" function claimed for Portable Restore is apt not
to work.

Well, I hope it works. This would be a lot easier than doing it manually.

Perhaps you'd like to rephrase that . . . . ;-)
