I have the plain BR, and fixed IP on DSL, but it sounds like your
DHCP lease is somehow not being renewed from RR. You could try
rebooting just the SMC7004ABR, to narrow down the problem.
My SMC has a power switch on the side.

aside:
FWIW, I shut down _EVERYTHING_, printers, network, print servers, hub,
DSL modem, router when I shut down, about twice a day. Everything is
on power strips: one for the network, and one for each of three machines.
And each of these branches has it's own UPS, always powered on.
Power strips are after the UPS, and become unloaded after a shutdown.
[I don't need/choose to keep the machines running unattended.]
