With the directions from RSJ to uninstall their program, I have opened a can of worms of significant proportions. But isn't it the early bird that gets the __________?
I was told told to copy config.sys.old over the current config.sys file. Then the uninstall button should be available. No, it wasn't. I then thought, why not just run RSJ install again. That went fine, but still not uninstall button in the install.exe file or in the install initial page (where uninstall button is found).
I rebooted to see what would happen and it did what I expected. It froze again on reboot. Previously, I have been able to recover using recover choices after alt-f1 and doing f2 and replacing an earlier the current config.sys file with an earlier one on the list after doing "dir config.*/od". This time I was told file not found or being used. My only choice was to use a config.sys file from original installation. I took that option and when I was told that certain c\bonus pac files couldn't be found, but hit enter to continue, the screen is filled with scrolling c prompts. They will go on indefinitely..........turn off machine.
