I'm using \OS2Skye.ico\ as my icon directory.

Right. But there are a bunch of Save options. Do I want 1.2 or 2.0 (or
1.1 or Packed 2.0)? Do I save all layouts or just the custom layout I
created (for example "XGA/8514 Small Color Form")?
I did save a few and then opened them in PMView to see if I could -- it
worked.
Is there a FAQ somewhere on OS/2 icon layouts? The ICONEDIT.HLP file
doesn't have much on the various sizes, color options and saved file
formats, and there's no information on how the Workplace Shell decides
which format to display (as I recall you can save several different
formats together). Google found a lot of generalized hits but I didn't
find anything specific to icons such as a table of x-y resolution vs.
color schema. Some of my OS/2 books back in L.A. might cover this so I
guess this project is on hold until I get back there.
