I may be missing something, but I told my ISP *not* to filter out spam. I
guess I don't trust the imperfect algorithms that may prevent me from
getting important E-mail.
They *do* use their virus filters, and though I don't really need to worry
about viruses, I don't mind as long as they let me know that they've
prevented something from being sent to me, so that I can ensure that I
won't lose a client attachment that just happens to have a virus, too.
