If you are responding to someone asking for help who
may not be a member of this list, be sure to use the
REPLY TO ALL feature of your email program.

I haven't tried Mozilla for news yet (in fact, haven't been back on a newsgroup in a
very long time), but I well recall that NS 4.61 would not allow you to munge the
sender's address. Therefore, you could not even do the old "Nospam" type of alteration
/ addition to your address, if you wanted to reply to something. That was
unacceptable, in my view. The only alternative was to access the newsgroup from a
secondary, spamtrap account you didn't care about, which had an Alias as your user
name. I don't yet know what sort of improvements Mozilla may have made in this regard.
It is still my longer-range intention to switch to a "real" email program -- most likely
either MR2 or Polarbar -- but I wanted to have the News access via the same program.
MR2 supposedly offers this, not sure about Polarbar. I think they may both have
cross-platform potential: Polarbar because it is Java-based, MR2 because I think it now
also has a Win-32 version. (There is a limit on how many programs I want to have to
learn or to manage, in order to cover the same task . . . . )
