Steven,
Here is a copy of the email I sent Chris Wohlgemuth this morning.

Subject: Audio-Data CD Creator Problems

Chris,
I first want to congratulate you on the excellent work you've done with
this program. You've done a fantastic job and I really like the program.
I am a relatively new computer user and brand new to os2. I have migrated
to os2 from using Windows and a little bit of BeOS. I have run a couple
of linux distributions to see how they work, but when I don't have a gui
and must use a command line, I am lost. I am old, retired, but anxious to
use os2 and your program.

I traveled 700 miles last Sunday to attend a Southern California os2 user
Group help session. Steven Levine, the groups' resident os2 expert,
installed everything needed for your program for me. We were able to get
Create Data-CD to work and I had it work once yesterday, but today I am
getting error in reading the image from the cd I was copying. We were not
able to get 1:1 CD-Copy to work at all. This morning I have tried and get
this error each time:
Cannot Read CD-text data- maybe not supported by drive.
Cannot free buffer memory for aspi-router!

If I choose, I can continue on and it looks like there is burning to the
cd-r, but when tested, there is nothing on the cd-r.

Here is information about my system:

Version of the Classes: Audio Cd Creator V0.52, cdrdao 1.1.3 for os/2,
Cd record V1.11a06 for os/2, emx 0.9d fix 04.

OS/2 Version and Fix Pack: OS/2 Warp 4 with FP 15 (Nov 2001 Warp Up
Volume 3, issue 1)

CDRecord/2 and mkisofs: Cd record v 1.11a06 and mkisofs version 3.16

Writer: Plextor CD-R PX-W1610A ATAPI writer

Reader: Liteon CD-ROM LTN483

Steps to Produce Problem: Inserted cd to be copied and cd-r in
respective drives.
In CD Creator Settings:
General---Writer: Plextor

max speed:
16 Fifo 8 mb
cdrdao---(driver)
generic-mmc (writer)audio
(driver) generic-mmc (source)
(driver)
generic-mmc for 1:1 copy

mkisofs: has
-graft-points

I start the process with action copy cd and test only and drive for
raw image is C: 1143 mb. Hit OK and Message window starts and reading
starts. Copy data track1 (Mode 1), length 73:02:05 to C:\image.bin....

Reading TOC and TRACK DAtA continues til completed. After reading, there
is window with message to insert an empty cd-r.

The message window now shows message: "Cannot read cd-text data-Maybe not
supported by drive. Cannot free buffer memory for aspi-router!"
Grabbing done.

If I stick in a cd-r and continue, the cd writer will buzz along and a
message that writing is complete is given. Taking out the cd-r, there is
no indication of burning on the object and when putting into a cd rom to
use, the message is insert cd into player. When going to properties, the
cd's space is used, but nothing on it. This is message given from a
windows machine (XP) and in os/2 when cd is installed and started, the
message says device is not ready. This is telling me nothing is on the
cd.

I looked for logfiles in cd creator and the file is there, but it is
empty. I looked in every folder and file and could not find a logfile
associated with cd creator.

No install problems so I haven't included config.sys. As I mentioned,
Steven Levine is the most expert os/2 person in s. california user group.
He installed the system.

I hope this helps. I still don't know what I must do to copy audio cd's
and to make audio cd's. Is there a grabber program I need? I think
Steven mentioned something about a Leech.

Any direction, solution or advice you can give, I would be eternally
grateful. Please be aware that I am a novice with very little
understanding. I taught school for 35 years so you know I am not very
bright.

Thank you for your program. I've used Clone CD, Nero, XCDROAST, and
Helios and your program is right up there with the best of them.
