Ha! Sorry, my mistake. The bottom line is that it's not just me but the nytimes.com and latimes.com sites don't respond to pings. I guess it's the stealth form of operation caused by current day maliciousness. I guess they figure to be attacked, they first must know you're there. Oh well. It was just the source of some minor hairpulling. I can't do too much of that however since my supply is finite.
