Hi Steven =

Thanks for your efforts and hints regarding my problem of calling the
browser =

from an URL in an e-mail message of Lotus Notes.

This weekend I have searched and tried a very long time on 2 systems to =

find the mistake:

Yes, I found "my personal" mistake !!!

Since years Lotus Notes and Netscape 4.61 worked well !!

Since I started experimenting with the newer browsers (IBM WEB Browser =

and the Mozilla versions) I changed my data / file structure slightly
into a =

WB (Web Browsers) group, ie. from

E:[EXEC]\OS2\NC4\61

to

E:[EXEC]\OS2\WB\NC4\61 =

and installed the newer browsers like following:

E:[EXEC]\OS2\WB\IBM\201 resp =

E:[EXEC]\OS2\WB\Mozilla\14 =

I also changed the respective entries in CONFIG.SYS and INI files !

Unfortunately and because it has been years when I started with =

Lotus Notes I had forgotten the browser entry in the LN locations ;-(

Since I corrected this entry to the newest browser location =

my problem has gone ;-))

What was irritated me, was that on a second system I got the same =

errorous behavior and I assumed that something has to be wrong =

with the intallation of these newer browsers ;-((

Once again and thanks for your appreciated assistance

You would think that your favorite PIM would treat you better.

You need to isolate what changed.

Copy the URL to the clipboard and try to open netscape from the command
line, with the url, while running from the LN application directory.

Check CONFIG.SYS for PATH and LIBPATH changes that might give LN
problems.

Use your favorite INI file editor and the the Netscape and the
WPURLDEFAULTSETTINGS applications in OS2.INI.
