First a few comments.
If you want us to be able to read the dfsee output, you need to protect it
from wrapping. To do this, append it after the tear bar (i.e the "-- ")
following your signature.
When showing examples of what you typed, you should really use cut and
paste if you can't type it the same way twice. Fortunately, the log
preserved your original erroneous input.
It's a good plan when using commands that have been implemented fairly
recently to make sure you are using a recent version. You are at:
DFSee OS2 version : 5.15 executing: part -02
The current version is 5.19 which is probably 2 months newer than what you
are attempting to use.
Anyway, the correct syntax is:
dfsos2 -log:pclone
part 2
clone -part:8
See dfscmds.txt for the ugly details or just use:
clone -?
from the dfs command line.
This says, clone from partition 8 to partition 2.
Where part 2 is:
02 1 *C: Prim 07 Inst-FSys HPFS OS2 20.0 OS2
OS2 502.0
and part 8 is:
08 1 *I: Log 07 Inst-FSys HPFS IBM 4.50 MAINT
MAINT 400.0
Is this what you intended to do?
Steven
