You can, but I would recommend only using PM to do the shrink. Use LVM
for the rest.
What I would do is:
- shrink WinXX partition with PM
- boot install CD
- add BM partition
- add boot partition
- format HPFS
- add FAT partition
- format FAT
- shutdown (i.e. CAD), swap in floppy and boot WinXX
- copy files to FAT partition
- shutdown, swap in CD and reboot
- install
