Yes.  I just retested with the same test files I used last night.

I just tried several different line lengths, and I *think* that Aaron is  
using 15 bits + sign instead of 16 bits unsigned *because* if the value  
is between 32K and 64K then the line length becomes 0 in his display  
(and no characters are shown).  Above 64K it apparently is modulo 64K  
which makes sense since his counter is "wrapping".  
 
I'll email him.
